“It is clear that Taylor has been called to be a healer, and she is answering that call brilliantly. The Mother Goddess Session was medicine. I’m at a loss for words for how to describe the experience, and I think it’s because Taylor is a trailblazer in her approach, and there isn’t anything out there quite like it. It felt like the most natural thing in the world to combine photography with ceremony, honoring the creation of art as it was unfolding. It felt like such a real experience, a deep belly breath of fresh air away from the busy-ness of life. Taylor has that rare effortless priestess quality that helped me drop into a liminal, ease-filled space of flow. It was light, no pressure, and fun! Taylor seems to truly enjoy her work, and that energy is contagious. She reminded me of a little kid on Christmas morning as she was taking pictures, genuinely and joyfully exclaiming as she captured moments as if she were opening presents. That’s what you want from a photographer. I also loved that the session moved somewhat quickly, and was complete in an hour, the pacing felt perfectly orchestrated. Every detail was so thought out, and intentional: she had prepared cacao, the herbs that she burned were heavenly, the lighting was dappled through the window, and the softest fabrics were draped. And the result? I felt truly seen by the images she was able to create. I will treasure them for the rest of my life. Out of 5 stars, I rate it a million bursting stars across the sky.
